Exhibition Manager / Assistant
Reporting to the Exhibition Director, this job is an entry level introduction to exhibitions. Supporting the team and carrying out specific responsibilities such as exhibitor liaison or floor planning will form part of a busy workload.
Venue Manager
A venue manager is responsible for working with clients and event planners to coordinate events taking place at their venue, which may be at a conference hall, ballroom, hotel space or theater. They ensure that all individuals who are part of the event and the planning process utilize the space correctly and clean up after the event. Venue managers may also advertise their space, maintain relationships with ongoing clients and connect with sales leads.
Vendors, Traders and Stalls Manager
Responsible for checking required certificates and training of all vendors and stalls. Reports back to the Site Mangers. Sees that all vendors have the provisions, power, water etc. to function within their contracts, also Public Liability Insurance.
Travel / Accommodation Manager
Job that focuses on travel and hotel bookings. Business travel is still an often overlooked element of events but actually is a major contributor to the industry.
Tour Manager
Responsible for every aspect of team that is touring, handling logistics, finance and communications for tours and ensuring that contractual commitements are fully met.
Special Events Director / Manager / Assistant
A director of special events coordinates a variety of special events. This often includes weddings or parties. A special events directors handles all the details of the event, including keeping a project within budget, negotiating with vendors, planning schedules and ensuring the event satisfies what a client wants.
Wedding Consultant / Planner / Coordinator
 Their services and responsibilities vary as they can either lead or simply support as required. They can provide the client with supplier referrals, assist with setting up appointments, and educate the client on wedding and creative partner etiquette.  A Wedding Consultant/Planner/Coordinator is responsible for assisting engaged couples with planning their wedding. They meet with clients, review and negotiate vendor contracts, create a timeline, complete their work within budget and organise the day-of needs for the bride and groom and their guests.

The engagement and access that The Power of Events (UK) has across all 7 sectors of the industry, enables data gathering and in-depth research projects to be delivered confidently and consistently. This will be primarily facilitated through the new insight app to be launched on 28th Sep 2023.

By bringing the industry and university partners together, research projects will be designed to deliver real benefits to the industry in terms of trend analysis, insights and performance improvements.
