Tour Manager
Responsible for every aspect of team that is touring, handling logistics, finance and communications for tours and ensuring that contractual commitements are fully met.
Technical Producer
Job that requires experience of working extensively in technical production roles, with strong working knowledge of current technology across all platforms such as projection and screens, sound, lighting, rigging, drones etc. Operational expertise extends to managing supply chain and technicians.
Sustainability Manager
A sustainability manager/expert/consultant needs to have a clear understanding of how events can achieve sustaibility targets for environmental. social and economic objectives. Ideally they are accredited (trained!) and able to consult across all elements of the event from planning to delivery and follow up
Stage Manager
Every stage on a festival site needs a manager, not unlike the same role found in theatre or live performance. They take total responsibility for everything that goes on and off the stage. They devise the schedules for all activity on the stage, from the set up of PA and equipment right through to the end of the performance.
Special Events Director / Manager / Assistant
A director of special events coordinates a variety of special events. This often includes weddings or parties. A special events directors handles all the details of the event, including keeping a project within budget, negotiating with vendors, planning schedules and ensuring the event satisfies what a client wants.
Site Manager
Responsible for all aspects of site operations, ensuring the delivery of appropriate materials and equipment as contractually specified, whilst enforcing and following safe working practices as per company and regulatory policies, including all relevant risk assessments and method statements. They should also induct site personnel.
Welfare Manager
Responsible for the welfare of build-up crew, volunteers, staff, contractors (which maybe sub-contracted to the appropriate company), includes provision of medical staff and the welfare of all on site.
Festival Manager / Assistant
Responsible for supporting the festival director by providing logistical, administrative and technical support.
General Administration Manager
This role provides all the back office support required to make events happen, such as the paperwork needs to be managed -Licensing, Traffic Orders, EMP, Site Plans, Planning Permission, Business Rates, Supplies, Contracts, Transport arrangements and general logistics.
Volunteer Coordinator
Volunteer coordinators manage everything related to volunteers within an organization. They recruit volunteers, learn more about each volunteer’s skills, assign responsibilities and track volunteers’ work. Volunteer coordinators are also responsible for creating a positive work environment and helping develop volunteers.

The event industry’s reliance on data to help it plan for the future, increase its resilience, manage risk and justify investment decisions, is growing year on year.

The engagement and access that The Power of Events (UK) has across all 7 sectors of the industry, enables data gathering and in-depth research projects to be delivered confidently and consistently. This will be primarily facilitated through the new insight app to be launched on 28th Sep 2023.

By bringing the industry and university partners together, research projects will be designed to deliver real benefits to the industry in terms of trend analysis, insights and performance improvements.
