Responsible for supporting the show director by providing logistical, administrative and technical support.
Event Marketing Coordinator
A marketing coordinator assists an organisation with their marketing efforts. This includes creating marketing materials, updating sales and trend reports and monitoring marketing trends for all the organisation’s event projects. A marketing coordinator may also coordinate and attend meetings.
Designer (Set & Costume)
Responsible for managing the design process required for performances in theatrical and show settings. Will work on both elements within agreed budget and in line with directors vision for the production.
Event Designer (2D / 3D / software specific)
Event designers often have formal art and design qulifications which support their natural creative skills to produce designs for events of all types. From set designs to staging, exhibition stands, pop ups and large scale brand installations – working with software they design items in response to creative briefs developed with the client.
Event Marketing Executive / Manager / Director
A director of event marketing manages an events brand. They oversee communication, marketing and promotional activities to encourage audiences to buy into the event. They may work with the media, post on social media and employ cross-promotion techniques.
Technical Producer
Job that requires experience of working extensively in technical production roles, with strong working knowledge of current technology across all platforms such as projection and screens, sound, lighting, rigging, drones etc. Operational expertise extends to managing supply chain and technicians.
Stage Manager
Every stage on a festival site needs a manager, not unlike the same role found in theatre or live performance. They take total responsibility for everything that goes on and off the stage. They devise the schedules for all activity on the stage, from the set up of PA and equipment right through to the end of the performance.
Wedding Consultant / Planner / Coordinator
 Their services and responsibilities vary as they can either lead or simply support as required. They can provide the client with supplier referrals, assist with setting up appointments, and educate the client on wedding and creative partner etiquette.  A Wedding Consultant/Planner/Coordinator is responsible for assisting engaged couples with planning their wedding. They meet with clients, review and negotiate vendor contracts, create a timeline, complete their work within budget and organise the day-of needs for the bride and groom and their guests.

The event industry’s reliance on data to help it plan for the future, increase its resilience, manage risk and justify investment decisions, is growing year on year.

The engagement and access that The Power of Events (UK) has across all 7 sectors of the industry, enables data gathering and in-depth research projects to be delivered confidently and consistently. This will be primarily facilitated through the new insight app to be launched on 28th Sep 2023.

By bringing the industry and university partners together, research projects will be designed to deliver real benefits to the industry in terms of trend analysis, insights and performance improvements.
