Responsible for supporting the show director by providing logistical, administrative and technical support.
Event Marketing Coordinator
A marketing coordinator assists an organisation with their marketing efforts. This includes creating marketing materials, updating sales and trend reports and monitoring marketing trends for all the organisation’s event projects. A marketing coordinator may also coordinate and attend meetings.
Artist Talent Liaisons / Manager / Director
Responsible for managing the artistes involved in the event. This would include advising on contract negotiations with promoters, negotiate gig and contract agreements and protecting artistes rights and brand. Scheduling tours and shows would also feature.
Business Development Executive / Manager / Director
A Businesss Development executive/manager/director is responsible for the sourcing and winning of new clients and business pitches.
Communications / PR Manager / Assistant / Director
Communications assistants handle a variety of operational tasks to maintain the external image of their organization. They create and publish content, manage social media accounts, interview stakeholders and gather and analyze data. Communications assistants may also help with office functions, such as preparing meetings, answering calls and preparing materials for events.
Community Relations Manager
A community manager is responsible for connecting a brand with members of a community or group. They host events to increase brand awareness and loyalty, or they may represent their company at an event. Community managers work with other departments, like those in communications, marketing and advertising, to spread the message about the event to certain groups.
Conference / Convention Planner / Producer / Director
Responsible for supervising and co-ordinating the strategic, operational and logistical activity required for the production of events. Designing and producing high quality conference programmes. Ability to develop briefs and statements of work that meet client requirements and business objectives. Developing relationships with sponsors. Engaging with key industry contacts to develop content. Managing event team and supplier relationships.
Content / Strategy Executive / Manager / Director
Many events rely on the quality of the content that will be available to attract audiences/delegates – from entartainment and live performance to business events and exhibitions. This job focusses on people who can create engaging and compelling content; this might be sector specific or have a broader consumer appeal.
Event Manager / Producer
An Event Manager/Produceris responsible for planning and organizing events and coordinating with their clients on their needs. They usually manage a team of event planners and coordinators by delegating tasks as needed. Manager/Producer also make sure that clients sign their contracts and make their payments according to the payment agreement. They may also negotiate pricing and included services.
Event Marketing Executive / Manager / Director
A director of event marketing manages an events brand. They oversee communication, marketing and promotional activities to encourage audiences to buy into the event. They may work with the media, post on social media and employ cross-promotion techniques.
Event Operations Manager
An event operations manager coordinates the specific operations of events. They work with organizers, host cities and various committees to organize successful events. They also ensure events comply with all safety regulations.
Event Director / Senior Producer / Executive Director
They must possess advanced knowledge of all financial aspects of event production, technical production, entertainment production, marketing, venue operations, and catering with exceptional analytical skills. It is essential they have advanced proficiency in contracting, negotiation skills and the in-depth ability to evaluate and address risks associated with all aspects of a program. They must be proficient in account management and business retention, and possess superior sales and customer services skills.
Exhibition Director
Managing the overall delivery of the exhibition, contract management and negotiation, management & implementation of SLAs, overseeing the management of floorplans, Health & Safety management, post event analysing and reporting
Exhibition Manager / Assistant
Reporting to the Exhibition Director, this job is an entry level introduction to exhibitions. Supporting the team and carrying out specific responsibilities such as exhibitor liaison or floor planning will form part of a busy workload.
Tour Manager
Responsible for every aspect of team that is touring, handling logistics, finance and communications for tours and ensuring that contractual commitements are fully met.
Technical Producer
Job that requires experience of working extensively in technical production roles, with strong working knowledge of current technology across all platforms such as projection and screens, sound, lighting, rigging, drones etc. Operational expertise extends to managing supply chain and technicians.

The engagement and access that The Power of Events (UK) has across all 7 sectors of the industry, enables data gathering and in-depth research projects to be delivered confidently and consistently. This will be primarily facilitated through the new insight app to be launched on 28th Sep 2023.

By bringing the industry and university partners together, research projects will be designed to deliver real benefits to the industry in terms of trend analysis, insights and performance improvements.
