LIVE Talks – Flipping the Script: Breaking Down Barriers for Disabled People

LIVE Talks is a series of free online workshops and talks with a focus on EDI, sustainability and wellbeing and are aimed at making the UK live music industry an inclusive, enlightened and positive place in which to work.

Flipping the Script: Breaking Down Barriers for Disabled People with Attitude is Everything
Dismantling the barriers faced by disabled people begins with the language we use and the way we communicate with one another. Join Dominique Gibson from Attitude is Everything as we introduce the Social Model of Disability to help understand the barriers faced by disabled people in the music industry, discussing the impact of language as an inclusive or discriminatory tool and how we can reduce this gap.

The event industry’s reliance on data to help it plan for the future, increase its resilience, manage risk and justify investment decisions, is growing year on year.
The engagement and access that The Power of Events UK has across all 7 sectors of the industry, enables data gathering and in-depth research projects to be delivered confidently and consistently. This will be primarily facilitated through the Events Industry Insight App launched in 2024.
