Experience of Work Programme launch

On Thursday 15 October, The Power of Events will officially launch its Experience of Work Programme at the Business Design Centre in London, bringing together senior industry leaders, employers, partners and education stakeholders from across the UK events industry.

Building on the success of our Schools Engagement Programme, Experience of Work has been developed to help young people take the next step: moving beyond hearing about careers in events to stepping inside real event workplaces and experiencing the industry first-hand.

Our ambition is to deliver circa 1,500 Experiences of Work across the UK in Year 1, with approximately 50% of these opportunities already pledged through industry associations including PLASA, PSA, AEV, mia, ABPCO, HAE and the Purple Guide.

At the launch, we’ll share what we have learned from our pilot experiences, introduce how the programme will work in practice and explore how the industry can collectively turn this ambition into action.

We are also inviting our community of Supporters and businesses from across the events industry to get involved by hosting their own Experiences of Work in 2027.
